I called Illini auto car for information on how to book, they quickly sent me a link to book, In which I noted my car had overheated, was blowing smoke & there was coolant on the ground. They put me down for a water pump and sent over an estimate of repair of $311, which I signed and returned. When they got there to fix it, they realize their assumption of it being the water pump was wrong and diagnosed other issues. They then change the original invoice to $300 for the diagnostic instead. They did NOT discuss this fee with me prior to, nor did they repair my vehicle, or reply to messages after I questioned them about the fee. I was met with lies about how they told me. I simply was not told and have all the texts to prove it. After being ignored for days I then have my car looked at by another shop and their diagnostic was WRONG. $311 down the drain for absolutely NOTHING. I was excited to work with them because the convenience of them coming to you and the quick response but I was met with poor communication & a lack of care. I’m very disappointed and out of money!

Absolutely thank you technician Francisco for coming to our rescue with a broke down van. He stayed out in the freezing cold for close too 4 hours diagnosed our problem and began repairing. When he didn’t have all the parts he took all of us too the hotel. Came back in the morning and finished the job. Patient, and friendly. Thank you so much.

I asked to fix my car’s AC costing me over $1,000 for a new compressor and other parts. After the repair, the AC still blows hot air, dashboard warning lights are on, and smoke is coming from the hood—indicating serious issues. The mechanic, Andrew, was unresponsive, claiming to be in meetings all day and then refusing to come fix the problem. I’m now forced to tow my car to another shop to assess the damage they caused which I am doing at this very moment. I feel deceived and overcharged for shoddy work. I visited their location which they put 204 S Scottswood Dr, Urbana IL, Nobody was there they said google location is wrong. Save your money and avoid them.

My alternator quit on me and my battery ran dead on hwy 57 while coming home from Shelbyville early on a Sunday afternoon. I was stuck. That is until I discovered Illini Auto Care on the internet. I gave them a call and they were able to replace my alternator right where the car stalled! They were prompt, efficient, and friendly. What a godsend! I was able to make it home that day! I am forever grateful. I wish there was a service like theirs everywhere I travel. Incredible! Thanks again guys!

I would give zero stars if that were possible. Francisco Sebastian may well be a good mechanic, but he is not a good businessman. I made an appointment online and was given a window for the next day of between 4PM and 6PM. He never showed up. I texted to ask why, and was told that he was running late, and that he hadn't gotten "a chance to ask me for my vehicle information" (license plate and VIN). The online appointment system only asked for my address and phone number. He then went on to say this: "We couldn't send out an estimate because we didn't receive either license plate information or VIN information. We are new to our new way of scheduling and communicating." Again, his appointment system did not ask for that information. He didn't ask before the scheduled appointment time either, even though he had my contact information. After he didn't show up, and after he offered the above excuse, I sent him the information that neither he nor his online appointment system had previously asked for. He ignored me. I would not recommend doing business with this man.

Alex was so amazing ! I came in with horrible grinding breaks. Ac was messing up and other things I had trouble explaining to him. Really glad I booked with them. Francisco came out to my house to help with a no-start issue I was having. Took the time to replace the battery first, then figured out it was the camshaft sensor and got that swapped out too. STAY AWAY!!! Scheduling was a mess. Online I booked an appointment for 11:30am. I called at 12:30pm to see if anyone was coming. They said I had nothing scheduled and they are running late and would arrive in about an hour (1:30pm). They showed up at 2:30pm. They did the diagnostics and told me there is a torn boot and bad battery. I asked if that was all that is wrong with it, and they said yes. They gave me a quote and we agreed for them to do the work. They got the parts and did the repair finishing around 6pm. I just parked for the night, but the next day I drove for about 30 minutes and the same warning lights and problems started. I called and let them know and they said they would call and come out. No one called and no one came out. I asked if anyone was coming, and they answered that they fixed only two of the problems, and my van has more problems that need addressed. I have attached the text chain picture. Why would they not tell me all the problems? I did pay for the diagnostics.

FRAUDD!!! I got my thermostat fixed on a Friday after the service was done by car was still overheating. Francisco told me that I now needed a whole new radiator installed so I figured maybe he knew what he was talking about. I then took my car to O’rileys for a scanner test and it said my thermostat was bad. I told the man I just had it replaced a day ago so he took a look at it himself and told me they gave me a faulty thermostat (btw he charged $335, which I knew was too pricey for it but I insisted on trying to get it fixed asap) I texted Illini auto care phone number again trying to see if I could some type of refund but the man has left me on read. HE IS A FRAUD!!
