Be very careful with this one. Sabotage to make you pay for repairs you didn’t have before. Never again

Been coming here for a while now. The guy this morning wasn’t there chippest guy on the block. Not personable. No smile.

Always helpful and courteous, a little slow on some minor jobs, and the prices are generally easier to swallow and have never run into some shady stuff with them.

What a terrible experience! I would not recommend this place to the worst of my enemies. No one deserves to be treated with such disregard. The owner of the shop has a terrible attitude and next to no people skills. after all was said and done, they were incapable of helping me with my repair. A serious waste of time. Please do not service your car here.

I quit by this early morning due to the fact that I needed a Smog check done on my truck. I spoke with the supervisor as well as he informed me just how much the service would be and also what the total including certification was. Much less than 15 minutes later, I was on the road and had my Smoke certification sent electronically to the DMV.

I don't know why people are saying terrible things about this place. I didn't have any trouble here at all. They were very kind, quick and professional. My husband and his father have been going here for years and never had a problem either. Great service. Average and fair price for the smog. Nice place.

Despite being incredibly busy, they took a look at my coolant leak and had it fixed by the next morning (would've been same day but they needed fluid from Volkswagen). Customer service was great, courteous and professional.

Somehow a stock Miata doesn’t pass emissions? Okay, maybe it’s a California thing, but the car is fully spec and unmodded. Be better.

Our first experience was good and it was a simple fix. What made it simoe is probably the same reason why I write this. Transparency on services and parts, if they don't know they tell you and give you a time they'll call back,. Sometimes just the authenticity of good people show in their responses. Pending all the numbers work out, we hope to work with Larry and this team again for our Air Compressor on our Evoque. **Fingers crossed** so far they have been great to work with

This review is for a couple years ago but I recently remembered what happened here and wanted to give others a heads up. Took my car in for an oil change. Quoted around $60. Got a phone call about suggested service. Thanked them and said I would look into it in the future. Went to pick up the car and they had doubled the price of the oil change. I told them I’m not paying that and that’s not what my quote said. The manager came up and said he called me and told me the new price “over the phone”. I told him that maybe he thought he had but he didn’t. He started ranting about how my car was going to fly off the road at any minute that it was in such bad condition. Very strange. This guy used to be normal and we’ve known him for years. I paid the originally quoted price. This used to be my family’s “go-to” for car repair. Not anymore.

the person working as a cashier which i believe his not old enough to work there, he is so rude, after getting $40 gas which didn't work at the pump force me to go inside and trying to use code he made an error. and he cancels the order and tried for another $40 which got declined. i knew that i have little over $40 credit. i waited for while to see i get credit back to use gas i need to get home and work the next day.. he was rushing to close and go home and i could see he is running 5 transaction ticket he said i cancel the order and you won't be a charge. but because our equipment is too old take a day or two you get credit back, after 2 days the credit company said there is no credit and to see a gas station. after i got back to them he tried to push me off and said you can report them to berue and hang up on me. Rude kid.

Honest and reliable mechanics. My family has had all their vehicles serviced at Bonita Vista Gas & Auto for 20 years. Just had a brake job on my Mercedes that was $100 less than was quoted. They rebuilt my son's jeep. They are also a smog check station. Larry, Ray, and Jimmy are very courteous and knowledgeable. I don't go anywhere else!

My VSC, check engine, and gas light were lit up on my dashboard. Naturally, I googled it to see if I could fix it myself. I found out it could be one of two things— the gas cap wasn’t screwed on securely or oxygen sensor needed to be replaced. I tightened the gas cap and all three lights were still on so I decided to take it in to get it checked out. I dropped my car off and they told me they’d give me a call later today. The previous mechanics I have been to will take look at the car, give a call with a diagnosis, and ASK if I would like to move forward knowing how much everything will cost but not Bonita Vista Gas and Auto. They took it upon themselves to go right ahead and replace the gas lid ($40) and charge $120 for the labor. Had I was given the option I could have done this myself. Before handing your keys over I suggest telling them not to do any work without your consent.
