Mike was very transparent with the whole process and all of the troubleshooting they did. In the end, the transmission couldn’t be repaired but they were honest and only charged us for the work they did and didn’t try to persuade us into anything. I was worried who to trust on our older car but I would definitely recommend them.

The most unprofessional owner ive ever seen its actually baffling this man's allowed to work with the public. Take your vehicle here if you want a temporary fix of bubble gum and toothpicks to then be harassed and bullied by a grown man.

. seems like everyone is running on a short fuse and have no patience for questions. Manager doesn't seem to know what his technicians are working on without having to ask them. Was told a piece of equipment was able to be refurbished but receipt says purchased new one. Poor customer service. Treated as if I wasn't allowed to ask questions and if I did I was causing a problem. Car would it's not go into reverse without grinding the gear and forcing it and was told it was normal. I regret it 100%.

I've only had terrible experiences with shops in the past, so I was expecting getting my truck fixed to be a nightmare but this shop exceeded my expectations in every category, which is very rare to say the least...Their customer service was incredible and the whole process was as painless as can be and the price was extremely fair! It's a great feeling knowing there's a great shop close by that isn't full of crooks. I'll definately be returning and plan on referring anybody that I come across that needs a mechanic!

Highly recommended and professional in every sense. Friendly, fast, effective, efficient staff/mechanics. Overall; Outstanding business/automotive repair shop. Thanks again; I greatly appreciate the service!

We were on vacation in the Tacoma area and the transmission in the van let go in Bremerton. Dave was awesome and very reassuring. He really tried to get us the van back before going home but couldn't quite get it done before the weekend. We rented and finished our vacation. I flew back up to get the van the next weekend. Everything was ready and the van ran great for the 1200 miles to St. George, Utah. It's running like new. Thanks guys.

Highly recommended. My Subaru was having transmission issues. Other mechanics and the dealership told me the repair would be $2500 to $6000. These guys diagnosed the issue and replaced the bad part for just under $1000. They’re efficient with your time and money.

Please read this review. Worth the read! To start off, I have a mechanic background, I went to Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, I was also a M1A1 tank mechanic in the Marines for 12yrs. I work on all my own vehicles..airplane, trucks, Motorcycles. I had a P0306 misfire code on my 2009 Tahoe, I replaced all the all the components spark, plug, coil, injectors and still couldn't get rid of the miss fire. After a lot of research online it seems the Tahoe is notorious for lifter issues. I get a lifter kit, spend days taking apart the engine and replacing the lifters all for nothing, I still have the p0306. At this point I was ready to toss the Tahoe and just get a new truck, but the Tahoe is mint, im not ready to give up on it. I start researching replacing the engine. I RANDOMLY call Bremerton Transmission & Automotive to ask about sourcing a engine. "Mike" answers the phone. My savior Mike answers the phone. I explain to him what I'm dealing with, what I have done, my research etc.. and instead of the TYPICAL "bring it in we will check it out and charge the hell out of you" MIKE says "do you have 10min? im gonna explain some stuff, and have you try a couple things first." No shop ever asks if you have 10min to explain ideas to fix something and gives you hints and directions. Well hell yea I have 10min or longer I'm desperate to fix this. So my savior Mike, knew that I knew the fundamentals of the Active Fuel Management system. But I did not know the science with it. Mike with total respect, talked me through everything, He had me check my rockers under my vale cover again. But suggested based on his experience and knowledge that a full blown fuel injection cleaning was needed with special equipment. Which these trucks with AFM need every 36k miles which I did not know. So after a couple long phone calls and all I felt confident in my conversation with Mike that after all my time money and failed attempts, it was best to take my Tahoe to Bremerton Transmission & Automotive. Mike's shop was available, unlike some local shops that had huge wait times. Mike and his awesome team did the fuel injection service and also identified a coolant leak from improper tightening of the head bolts (my fault, I was trying to guess on the torque wrench degrees of turn because I didn't have enough room to move the torque wrench 90⁰ and 70⁰ for the 2nd and 3rd pass). My Truck is SAVED!!! All thanks to a random call to Mike's shop Bremerton Transmission & Automotive!!! He gave me confidence and solved my issue! When I was ready to give up and get a new engine or truck. Moving forward any issues with my Tahoes or future trucks I will take to him. Its so relieving finding a shop you can trust and solve your problem. Honestly the fact he was patient, extremely friendly and took a lot of time on the phone with me is what moved me to hire his services. The only other shop I have had this much trust and faith in is Iron Mike's Automotive in Covington WA. Thank you Mike and your team, all of you have customer service and integrity above reproach. I can not express more how much you saved me a lot of stress. My only regret is I didn't find your shop sooner! Wyatt R, Chimacum WA

Today was one of the tougher days of my life. Earlier, I was attempting to donate clothes to St Vincent, over on Wheaton Way. I'll never turn into that shopping plaza again. You're required to go to the rear and it's full of glass and something akin to an obstacle course. My Honda HR-V ended up going right over an oddly placed bumper block/cement barrier. I heard a 'KABOOM!!!' Thought a car hit me. Panicked. Called my Honda Dealer to make an appointment for them to look under the car. They had a space available for tomorrow, 8:30 AM. There was no mention of cost. I'd forgot to ask, stressed out beyond words over the events of the past three weeks, taking care of things. Something told me to call Bremerton Transmission & Automotive. I'd called them about three years earlier, for my Subaru Outback. I'd remembered how pleasant they were. Bremerton Transmission and Automotive reminded me that good people and top-notch businesses are still around, right here in the city I live. When I got home, I received an email from my Honda dealer. It was to verify my appointment and let me know the automotive check would be $179.95, The appointment has been cancelled. I don't know what else to say except, thank you David and thank you to the staff at Bremerton Transmission & Automotive. You have a customer for life, in me. I am forever grateful.

Couldn't recommend this place any higher than this! My transmission blew on my car and Mike, David and the techs had me in and out in less than a week with inspection, ordering parts and rebuild. They were professional, took the time to answer all of my questions and got my car back on the road. I couldn't be happier with the professionalism and knowledge here at this shop. PLEASE DONT HESITATE TO MAKE THIS YOUR NUMBER ONE STOP. You will NOT regret it. I will be coming here for all of my repairs and maintenance from now on. Thanks again guys!

Highly Recommend!!! I had an issue with my car the dealership could not find. I knew it needed some fluids changed in the transmission, trasfer case, and differential, so we took it to Bremerton Transmission and told them about the problem we were having. After taking it for a couple of test drives they found the problem and said it was internal in the transmission. So rebuilt transmission was needed. As I have a Honda crosstour they had some issues finding parts. And then a bad batch of solenoids. It took longer to get it done then they originally thought. But I would rather it take the extra time and get it right!! Thank you to the mechanic for putting up with my stubborn difficult car!!! These guys were were very apologetic for the delay and even took some off the original quoted invoice for my inconvenience. These guys Rock!!!

This place is horrible!!! I went here for a fuel problem that my truck had. Instead they started telling us the truck had other problems and need to get fixed. First time we were charges $900 they told us the truck is ready to go. But it didn’t go that way the truck was back at the shop the next day for the same problem and this time they give us a diagnostic. They were charging us $5000 promising us that the truck will be fixed. But it didn’t go that way they called us again saying that there was one more problem, that the fuel pump needs to be replaced when we originally TOLD them that we were thinking it was the fuel pump all along. We took the truck for a problem and it came back with the same problem they did not fix ANYTHING! They just made us pay $6000 for nothing. After that David came out screaming telling us to not bring the truck back which we obviously wouldn’t be doing. I Do not recommend this places they will just take your money.

Once again I'm completely thrilled with my entire visit to Bremerton location! Have had my ford F150 serviced multiple times over last 4 years- EVERYTIME has been a great experience! Quality workmanship & affordable prices for parts and labor. Dave & Mike upfront are always pleasant and professional with me. This is saying a lot as a woman I have been dismissed or ignored when diagnosing issues or concerns- but not at this shop! Chuck in the service area is a great mechanic as well and has always answered my questions with a smile. I would highly recommend this shop for ANY work! I have had simple maintenance done up to a complete transmission replacement and have been satisfied for all of it. It's hard to find honest and hardworking shops these days- so give them a call, I guarantee you'll be happy you did! Thank you team for keeping my old ford on the road :)

Mike and his team are top-notch mechanics, and I highly recommend them! I brought my vehicle in after a transmission shop told me I needed a full transmission rebuild. Instead of just taking their word for it, Mike took the time to properly diagnose the issue. It turned out the transmission was fine, and the real problem was a faulty engine ignition coil. They fixed it quickly and saved us at least $7,000 in unnecessary repairs! Honest, skilled, and thorough, I wouldn’t take my vehicle anywhere else.

Went in cause my engine was making a clicking sound. Got charged 700 dollars for some scans and a single part then told me I needed an entire knew engine. Took my engine apart and turns out they never opened it up and it was a single bad bearing on cylinder 4

The worst experience of my life and I'm not exaggerating!! Started off with a leak in my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee, just moved to Washington back in 2022 and I went to these people! Over 3yrs and over 10k in repairs later, they still haven't fixed the issue. It was misdiagnosed repeatedly from the ecm to the egr. They kept on piling on more and more issues that needed attention, like throwing pasta against the wall to see what stuck and of course out of my pocket. I originally drove this car to them and 3yrs later had to tow it away. Could swear it should be the other way round!! It all came down to a level 2 diagnostic to find out the turbo unit underboost issue and of course they wanted more money out of me. I tried to appeal to their humanity to do what was fair after taking all my money and not been able to fix it with a simple comp on the diagnostic but the money grubbing owner insisted on getting paid. Towed it away from the shop yesterday. I usually let certain things go in life but with this shop...I feel robbed. All I can say is do business with them at your own risk!! I have been informed by another shop that the turbo that I paid over 4k for as a new unit wasn't even new and looked worn and used as the jeep has not been driven. Im going touch on that at a later date. This shop represents the stereotype as a bunch of scam artists. Avoid them at all costs and take your business elsewhere!!! If I could do a quarter star I would.

I brought in my wife's 2016 Jeep Wrangler for a misfire issue. These guys here are top notch. They diagnosed the issue quickly and accurately and kept me informed with updates all along the way. These guys are very professional and never once tried to upsale me on anything. Within just a couple days we had her Jeep back this time without a check engine light (unlike the dealership). I will definitely be bringing my vehicles back if I need assistance again.

Drove van there - but towed it home after they touched it. I suspect they overfilled trans fluid. I checked hours before dropping it off. It was NOT low. They claimed it was and added fluid. Next call was to come tow it home or pay $6k to replace transmission. Every mechanic I’ve talked to suggests legal action. Highly suggest another shop for your needs. Shady.

Brought in my 2007 Mustang after the local Ford dealer said I had a problem but they don’t do transmissions. They recommended Bremerton Transmission. I called them and took the car right over. They did a thorough test and provided a report that explained in great detail, what was wrong. They gave an estimate that was about what I expected. The folks there are friendly and very professional. They were also very communicative through the repair process, with updates. I knew they were busy, but I felt like my car was their highest priority and I really mattered. I also discovered they do full service auto repairs, not just transmissions. I have been driving the car now for about 6 months and it shifts smooth (automatic transmission) and runs great! I will definitely use them in the future for all my auto repairs.
