Craig has completely restored my faith in car mechanics. His 5 star average rating is 1000% deserved. I have been using a different auto shop for years, but when they misdiagnosed a problem, I knew I needed to pivot. I found Craig's Honda Service on Google while looking for Honda dealerships in the area. The other auto shop told me my civic had a transmission issue, but Craig already knew (on the phone!) that it likely was not transmission related based on my description. He got back to me in a timely manner, had me bring my car in, and got me back in my car in less than 24 hours! Craig also completed my check up earlier than the agreed upon time and has completely saved me and my car. His rates are also beyond reasonable and he explains everything in depth. My apologies to anyone who finds this review to be too long, but five stars and a few words are simply not enough to express how very grateful I am to have recently found Craig's Honda Service through a friend of mine. By the time Craig got my car, I had been having problems with it for almost three weeks and no one had been able to diagnose the problem. Craig diagnosed the problem in less than twenty-four hours. He also completed a thorough inspection of my vehicle, during which he found a few other issues. He sent me an estimate detailing the cost of each repair and what it would involve, but never pressured me to complete them all. He answered my questions about which issues were urgent and which ones could wait, and he never talked down to me or made me feel as if I was asking ridiculous questions. Craig is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and a pleasure to deal with regarding your car repairs. He makes having your car repaired as painless as possible and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Craig's Honda Service to anyone who drives a Honda!!! I only wish I had known about this business sooner. I took my Honda troubles to Craig because of his stellar reputation. A 5 star rating on Google Reviews is rare, and I’m proud to add to Craig’s five stars. Twice, Craig exceeded my already high expectations. My Honda CR-V had not one, but two water leaks. It flooded after every rain, and it turned into a swamp in the Alabama summer heat. For two months, it wouldn’t even start. One of those leaks might have been through the sunroof, but mechanics in Auburn wouldn’t even try to find it. (I’m too embarrassed to say the number of shops I bothered with.) Two of them couldn’t recommend more than a junk yard. The last one said the second leak could neither be found nor fixed. Craig had fixed the sunroof drains, and he insisted that I let him take on mission impossible and find the second leak. Craig found it and stopped it. That one was nowhere near the sunroof; it was a hole left by a missing grommet in the front. Finding a water leak in a car, as I’ve learned, is a two-man job. Craig figured out how to do this by himself. (His physical contortions in doing that must have been amazing.) Craig has three bays in the big red garage behind his house, and there he alone does the work of a whole team of mechanics. I’ve concluded that Craig is the only man on Planet Earth would could have saved my wretched car. While my Honda was with Craig, I had him do a thorough inspection, and he found some routine maintenance issues. His work on those assure me that I can avoid some problems down the road. When I looked at my bill from Craig, I was puzzled. You may also be confused when you get a bill from Craig. So, I will explain. I had asked Craig to look at a few additional small things, and when I didn’t see any of those on Craig’s quote, I wondered. This happened both times when Craig had my car. Then, Craig told me that he did “this,” “that,” and “the other thing.” None of those were on my bill. Most mechanics will charge jacked-up prices for every bolt, nut, and half-turn of a wrench. Some will charge a big flat fee before they even start working. Craig only charges for the main items, and while he’s doing the major repairs, he’ll just fix all the little things he finds along the way. Craig’s charges for the major repairs to my car were very reasonable, and he didn’t put the little screws and light bulbs on my bill. (I almost wanted to buy his dogs some biscuits to make up the difference.) The only problem is that Craig is in high demand and very busy. He is booked up, and you must be patient and wait 2 to 3 weeks. As a lady in the community said, “He’s worth waiting for.” Craig gave me a quote for some future maintenance, and next year, I will wait and take my car back to him for that. So, if you are an unfortunate Honda owner like me, get your name on Craig’s magic list. (He calls it simply, “The List.”) Craig responds to inquiries right away, and all of his communications are immediate. You’ll find Craig out in the woods. He’s on a back county road right where the pavement ends.
