I want to thank Dewayne for his superb customer service. I called in first, and he took the time to compare options and help me find the best prices for what my car needed. When I arrived at the store, he was patient, informative, and walked me through everything, including the warranty I ended up getting. My car was ready in no time with an impressively fast wait. I also had the chance to speak with Jebb, whose customer service was excellent as well. Discount Tire is lucky to have such a strong team focused on customer care. Thank you both so much! Kelly

I came in to the Six Forks Discount Tire location to get a rotation and balance done. I was told I needed 2 new tires on front. While I was waiting I looked at my account online and saw I was being charged $150 per tire. 6 weeks prior I was charged $85 per tire. I mentioned this to the sales clerk. At checkout he honored the previous price of $85 per tire even though they usually only do that if it is within a month. I have been nothing but satisfied with my dealings with Discount Tire.

I had a great experience here this morning! Barrett was of great help! He prioritized tire safety as well as finding me a great tire compared to Michelin for a much better price. I highly recommend this location, and highly recommend Barrett! The whole team there was amazing, and patient with me since I’ve never had to purchase a whole set on my own before.

They really care about their customers. I showed up 30 min after closing and with a low tire that needed air. The manager made sure all of my tires were at a good pressure and pumped them all up for me. Not to mention this is the night it started snowing! Thank you discount tire!

Bad service, incompetent employees, and a very rude manager. Went here to get my back tires replaced. 10 minutes after leaving, I hear clanging and knocking on my back drivers side. This is a 2022 vehicle that I take great care of, so I was surprised to hear this. I called Discount Tire about the noise and was told to bring it back, and they'd look at it. So I went back, they rebalanced the tires and suggested a nearby repair shop for the noise. They said it my car was "drivable", I slowly made my way to their suggested repair shop and they had no openings for 2 weeks. This is my only vehicle, and I can't go without it for that long. After checking the problem myself in the parking lot of the repair shop, I noticed I'm missing a stud. When my tire was mounted at Discount Tire, my stud was pushed into my rotor!! I very slowly make my way back to Discount Tire. This is now the 3rd time I've been there today. I tell them my issue and that I need the stud removed immediately. At first, the employee said they "didn't have the tools for it." They're a tire shop. All you need is a socket wrench!! Eventually, the manager gets my rotor open and hands me the stud, now bent and scraped and says it was just a "coincidence" that my stud fell into my rotor. Studs don't just "fall" into a rotor, especially when there's a rubber stopper to prevent that from happening. I was at this shop 3 times in one day and not once was notified that I was missing a tire stud, and was even told that my car was drivable as is. I was told that they would replace the stud at the nearby mechanic shop and cover the charge to replace just the stud. Was also told they would schedule the appointment and let me know when it was. The next day, nobody called. They never scheduled the appointment!!! As soon as I get an opening at a repair shop, I get an alignment done and ask to see the damage from the stud that was in my rotor. My e-brake was shattered from the stud, and the repairs would cost hundreds of dollars. When I when went back to Discount Tire to discuss this, the manager very rudely said "...well what do you want us to do about it?". They looked at my car 3 times and didn't mention I was missing a stud. They knew my car was making scraping noises and suggested it was ok to drive on, and the manager himself removed the stud and never mentioned that my e-brake was shattered. At any and every opportunity, he avoided any accountability. He even denied that they said they would set up the appointment for me to get the stud replaced. Then the manager says, "Well, I replaced the stud, didn't I? I can forward this to claims so they can tell you NO as well.". Claims would later acknowledge responsibility for the damages and send me a check for the amount from the estimate. I wouldn't trust this staff, especially the manager, with any vehicle. His clear lack of accountability and condescending remarks were extremely unprofessional. I will never go to another Discount Tire and will let my friends and fellow car club members never go to this business.

Made 3 rotation and balance appointments for our 3 vehicles and spent over six hours waiting in a shipping container while my keys got lost and nobody mentioned it to me, just that "my car would be next" - then asked me where the keys were. I had to find them under a pile of work orders with my smart tag in the office trailer. My car was then stalled no less than 3 times between its parking spot and the service bay. Multiple other people were here as long as I was. Then a hubcap got lost on the way home from not being reattached properly on my wife's car, and my two older vehicles were jacked up by the floor pans?! vs. the proper lift/jack points, causing the floor pans to push up into the chassis. I was repeatedly told that my tires had different dates on them when they're the ones that discount installed all at the same time, as well. There's always something wrong with "the system" when I go to Discount, and my appointments always conveniently disappear. The techs have been great to me in the past and usually do awesome work, but management really needs to figure out what's going on around here because it's chaos and pandemonium. I don't think I'll purchase any more tires here.

This is an update to a previous review I posted. I had an experience that led to myself feeing I would never go back. I posted my review of my experience. At most I expected some generic corporate response you so often see with people’s negative reviews. Much to my surprise I received a phone call from Jeb, the store manager. He took responsibility and listened to my concerns. I repeat he actually listened to my concerns. He again both took responsibility and apologized. He wanted to make things right. He told me his resolution to my experience. I am not often left speechless but this was one of those times. He not only made me feel listened to but also valued. There are not many people I’ve come across who care as much as he does. There isn’t many experiences in my life that made me feel valued the way he has. He with out a doubt cares about what he does. To Discount Tire upper management if you’re reading this, to not consider him for a District Manager would be a disservice to your company. He without a doubt would take your business to another level. It’s rare to find people like him with passion. I’m a person who never goes back to a place that gave me a bad experience. He’s the very first to care enough to change my position and earn a lifetime customer. Thank you very much Jeb for being the manager you are and making me feel so valued.

I could not recommend this location of Discount Tire enough! I would describe my overall experience as filled with integrity and consideration. I had all four of my tires replaced earlier this year, and when I had an issue with it yesterday due to a mistake that was found, the team was kind and quick to make it right. Mistakes happen, but I appreciate the accountability taken. Who knows who made the mistake, but the lesson is to take accountability and to give people grace and the opportunity to make it right. I appreciate Oliver who I spoke with on the phone and told me to come right on in, and Jalen who helped me while I was there. The team made sure to check all four of my tires to make sure that I was safe to go, and considering that they had other appointments through out the day, I appreciate that they were able to squeeze me in to remedy this issue. Thank you, thank you for being such a trustworthy business, and I will be back for future needs!

5 a.m. this morning, I hit a pothole on Six Forks Road, which caused my caliper bolt to snap. As a result, the caliper broke through the inside of my rim and blew out my tire while I was driving through North Hills. After calling around, I quickly found that no stores in Raleigh had a replacement rim for my truck—except Discount Tire. I’m an assistant manager at Pep Boys on Western Boulevard, and even we don’t stock rims. When I arrived at Discount Tire, I spoke with Jeb and explained the situation. He was incredibly helpful, professional, and understanding. He got me in immediately for a new rim and tire, even though they didn’t have the caliper bolts in stock (which I completely understood). Jeb went above and beyond by allowing me to safely complete the caliper repair in the parking lot, as the vehicle was unsafe to drive otherwise. I truly appreciate his kindness and flexibility. He turned a frustrating, potentially dangerous situation into something manageable. I’m not sure of Jeb’s exact role at this location, but he absolutely deserves recognition for his outstanding service. From now on, if any of my customers ask about rims, I’ll be referring them directly to Discount Tire and to Jeb specifically. Thank you again!

Last month after work I stopped by at this location to get my tire service but was told right away that there was a 3 hour long wait. The guy didn’t even check my tire to see what was wrong. I ended up driving 30 minutes to the Discount Tire at Fayetteville Rd, which is the one I have been exceptionally serviced. The worker at the other location thought that it was a crazy wait time, and that I could’ve at least order the tire and avoid driving 9 miles from one location to another with a nail on my tire. I still decided to give this location the benefit of the doubt, and walked in yesterday with my husband to place an order for my front tires but the bald guy at the front (I wish I knew his name to avoid describing him) told me I had to pay in full right away, I told him that at other locations I’ve payed the $25 minimum and the rest post-service but he said that there had been “a recent policy change 3, 2 or 1 month ago”. So my husband questioned how could that be true if a month ago we had ordered a tire at the other location last month that way, $25 deposit and then paying the rest post service. Either he does not know what he is doing over the counter or he did not wanted to give us what we were asking for. We walked out, and called the other location to ask if there had been a policy change, but they said I could still pay the $25 to place an order. We ended up ordering the tires over the phone with only the $25 deposit. We won’t be coming back to this location even if it is closer.

Had an appointment for first thing in the morning and didn't have my car pulled in until 30 minutes after. They threw my key across the shop and broke it. ...and I had to deal with a third party insurance for two weeks just to get it and now the programming isn't right on the car. They also lost one of my nicer valve stem caps that I've got to pay for now. Discount tire isn't worth it any more. They tear everything up and waste my time.

I wish I could remember the name of the man who checked my tires at 5:55pm Monday night at the quick tire pump area. He recognized I had a flat that would need further review and repair. He said they’d be able to help me that evening even though the store closed at 6pm. I couldn’t believe it. I was just swinging by because my tire light came on and didn’t realize it was serious (I thought it was due to cold weather change). Dewayne at the front got me checked in and seen quickly. I was so so appreciative that the team helped me when I came literally at closing not realizing I’d need more help than just an air top off. A huge thank you!!!

Unfortunately I had to get two new tires, and was harshly pressured to get new windshield wipers. I was also told a free tire alignment check would be done. After asking for an estimate for time, including wait time, I was told around an hour. I proceeded to spend the next 4.5 hours of my time just waiting, as they take your payment and keys before providing the service, not being given any updates on my vehicle, or where I might be in the cue. My time felt extremely disrespected, as I would have planned accordingly had I been told how long it was realistically going to take. However, though, after finally having the tires replaced (I waited for 4 hours before my car was actually taken in, AFTER being told it would be a short wait), I was told they could not perform an alignment, as they apparently did not have the correct tools to do it, even though the service was offered to me hours prior. The associates came off as condescending, and made me feel downright stupid. The looks I received and voices I was spoken to with, would lead an observer to believe he was talking to a child. If you are going somewhere to receive good service and value your time, this place would fall last on my list of recommendations. I would literally only return here if it was the last and ONLY place to get these kinds of services done. If possible, I would like to leave a 0 star review, but unfortunately 1 is as low as it gets.

This is the third set of tires I’ve purchased here over the last four years, and the first time bringing in my partner’s car. Every visit has been great, but this most recent one really stood out thanks to Eleazar Coria. Even on an extremely busy day, Eleazar was patient, kind, and thorough. He took the time to walk us through our options, and never once made us feel rushed. His professionalism is matched by how genuinely he cares about customers. Eleazar isn’t just helpful; he demonstrates the kind of leadership and customer service you want in someone guiding a team. As the senior assistant manager, he sets the tone for the whole shop with his calm, solutions-oriented approach. He absolutely deserves recognition and, frankly, a promotion. We’ll keep coming back because of experiences like this. Highly recommend.

This particular location is terrible compared to every other branch I’ve been to. I stopped by this morning and was treated with complete disrespect. The customer service was slow, rude, and dismissive to anyone waiting in line. They’re currently doing construction on the lobby, so they have customers waiting in small portable units outside — which isn’t the issue. The real problem is how the staff speaks to people. Instead of politely communicating, they repeatedly and rudely tell people to “wait outside,” with zero professionalism or courtesy. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I won’t be returning to this location.

I tried scheduling with Discount Tire and had a very frustrating experience. I first called on Tuesday, Sept 9 at 4:35pm to make an appointment for Friday, Sept 12. On Friday morning, I called again to move the appointment to Monday, Sept 15. I sat on hold for 9 minutes before anyone picked up, and when they finally did, I was told they didn’t see an appointment for me at all. They went ahead and scheduled me for Monday. I showed up today (Sept 15) at 1:09 for my 1:15 appointment. After standing in the sun for 19 minutes, I finally spoke with someone at 1:27, only to be told again that there was no appointment under my name. At that point, I decided to take my business elsewhere. They are also currently working out of a shipping container due to lobby construction. I understand construction happens, but it would’ve been nice to be told that during either of my two phone calls. Overall, this was not a good experience. Clear communication and honoring scheduled appointments are basic expectations, and unfortunately, neither was met here.
