I’ve been visiting the Service Center at VW regularly over the last decade for new cars, maintenance, repairs, free car washes. key batteries, fun VW swag … I’ll bet I go there at least once per quarter for one reason or another. I trust them. They are straight shooters. They have fair prices for maintenance and always accommodate my schedule. Today I was pleasantly surprised to receive a gift card in the mail for use at the VW Service Center. Thank you to the whole group at VW of Elgin! 🙆🏻♀️

Erv is the man. We have two VWs that get serviced here (Atlas and Tiguan). It is easy to make appointments (a couple days out usually) Easy to get a loaner because life doesn’t stop while your car is in there and working with Erv is the best.

Be AWARE of this location, they take out the engine intake filter, when nobody asks to change that.
Avoid this dealership location, at all costs. That way if the filter is not changed putting it back can cause engine failure, due to the dust, that can fall into the system.
The service manager is rude, doesn’t explain anything, no other dealership takes out the filters randomly. I said to change oil and do tire rotation only, they were trying to make more money by fooling clients. The intake filter was clean, but they still tried to convince me it has to be changed. They tried to charge me 170 dollars for oil change and tire rotation on VW Golf! That is insane, and after I said that I saw different prices online, he changed the oil change for 99, and he still tried to upsell the tire rotation for 50 buck, when the coupon on the website is for 25.
And after all the service department front desk guy who saw all of this has no professional attitude at all, asking what am I going to do on the weekend, even after he spoke with my husband on the phone.
BEWARE OF THIS GUY And the manager of the service department had no response concerning that. It’s was not the first time servicing on this location, but surely the last one. AVOID

Well, they "fixed" my Tiguan, then I had to bring it in again. The service writer (Alex) is nice enough but it would be better to do a more thorough job the first time vs multiple days of being inconvenienced. (Sunroof problems)

Went in for my 10,000th mile inspection & oil change, got my car back & after about 100 miles of driving my check engine goes on. Needless to say am not going back to this dealer. Im at a different VW dealer today to figure out what they did wrong. When you buy a brand new car & take it to the dealer you should not be having these kind of issues, these are the kind of issues you expect from a Jiffy Lube or PepBoys. Very disappointed in Volkswagen.
