Two months prior, I hired Mobile Auto Clinic to replace my truck's starter. When the vehicle subsequently failed to start, I contacted them assuming the starter was the same issue. I was made to wait three days for a technician to be dispatched, resulting in a three-day loss of use of my truck, which significantly impacted some important ongoing projects. When the tech arrived, the vehicle's starting problem was resolved immediately. The first action taken was to shift the vehicle into neutral before starting the engine, which worked. The technician stated that this is a common issue with older vehicles. Despite knowing this, I was charged a "diagnostic fee" of $142.40 for the few seconds of service provided. My main issue aside from the fee, which feels exploitative, is that there is never an ability to talk directly to someone, but only by slow, unresponsive text-only contact. Three days of lost work and a solution that could have been offered over the phone means I won’t be using them again.

It was great working with mobile auto clinic. They were very thorough and quick with their repairs and communication with me. My repairs were done a day earlier than they estimated! The platform that they use for your vehicle scan is incredible - I loved seeing their notes and photos of the diagnostics and the checklist they used for their recommendations. Please note that this shop does not do any body work - i needed my bumper to be reattached and turns out my brackets needed to be replaced and they were unable to do it. I appreciate them trying though. I recommend this shop for any quick mechanical work that needs to be done. ✅

I absolutely love working with this company. My boyfriend and I have used them numerous times not and are pretty sure we won't use anyone else at this point. Not only are they a mobile mechanic and will come to you, they have a shop and everyone is very nice and easy to work with. We have had them come to us twice at home and when we broke down and both times we received quick service and more than fair prices. We have had both covered warranty work done where they worked with the company and took the stress off there and out of pocket work done. They will also work with you if needed which is always a relief when you aren't expecting extra costs. I honestly cant recommend them enough!

Highly recommend Ben, We contacted him for a check engine light/failed emissions. He arrived, diagnosed the problem, broke everything down including photos/details of what needed to be replaced and arrived the following week at 8am to fix and replace all the parts right here in the driveway, he was fast, affordable. Have been using Mobile Auto Clinic for years. I live in South Austin and they are always so good at working me in quickly when I have a dead vehicle (alternator, starter, or battery work), or just prefer having them do the work in the garage while I work inside (convenient!). They also have a great full service shop in north Austin which I’ve used for more expansive work (oil pan replacement, brakes, etc). The team is always super professional and quotes a fair price. I recommend them all the time.

Ashley and her team at Mobile Auto Clinic were absolutely amazing! They took my daughter’s car in on a Saturday when we were worried the repair might be something serious and expensive because of a leak. Thankfully, they discovered it was simply an oil canister from a previous oil change that hadn’t been sealed or tightened properly. Their honesty meant everything to us.
