Julia was incredibly helpful in helping me get the car of my dreams! Not what you may think of when you think of a car salesperson, which I greatly appreciate. She was authentic, helpful, and patient, and made the whole experience so much more pleasurable. Thank you for your help, Julia!

Great experience overall. I needed new sway bars for my 2018 Atlas w/ 50K miles which was unfortunate and I was ready to drop several hundred dollars to get them fixed. I was thrilled when Ryan (Service guy) came out to tell me the car was all set and covered under warranty. Made my day. Also, service waiting area is a good one. Comfy seats, fast wi-fi and a fountain soda machine!! Awesome overall.

Allison Naccarato is an asset to the VW team. I trust her and feel she has my best interest at heart when recommending car repair options. She is the reason I continue to get service done at VW despite my expired warranty.

Our family has purchased three vehicles from Shearer VW, and I could not be happier with the entire team there. This time we had the pleasure of working with Trista Edenfield on the sales team. She was outstanding and made the entire process so easy. We will be back!

Paid for a scheduled service check, state inspection and extra services that included a brake line flush and an AWD service for 30,000 mile check for approx $450. After getting home that same day the check engine light is now on after the service. This light has never been on previously, so my wife called back in the morning to see when this can get looked at because I believe something must have triggered this alert from the service as my wife is afraid to drive in case something is wrong we were informed that you are not able to have the Atlas looked until next Wed. Not acceptable having just completed this service the same day.

Shearer was accommodating to our need for quick replacement of a cracked windshield. They advised us well, made it easy to bring the car in for service, and provided us a loaner. Communication with Austin our service advisor was competent and informative.

Every time I take my car in for a repair they find something else wrong and need to charge for it. My car has less than 30K miles on it. Recently, they crashed my car, breaking my Thule roof box and damaging the ski equipment inside. While I appreciate that they paid for a new Thule box, they never offered and compensation for the other damages. I was also CHARGED hundreds of dollars for the services they performed that day. I have never, EVER been given the "free car wash" or had my car washed by them after service. This is supposedly a perk that comes with services there. Perhaps the most unsettling part is that the service associates are very rude. Be wary of unneeded and over priced repairs. If you take advantage of the offer of free state inspections they will, undoubtedly, find something else wrong that they will charge to repair.

Communicate better: Listen better - I needed to repeat things that were obviously not heard. I was told I would receive a call when the car was ready. It never came so I eventually called to check at the agreed pick up time and work had been long since completed. At drop off I was told clutch fluid needed replacing next time, not this appointment. Then I was told it was being done this time, even though it was only due in November. When a queried why it was changed back to November. I did not receive the usual comp car wash voucher.

I had my 2014 Volkswagon Tiguan into Shearer Volkswagon in September of 2014 for a turbo replacement on the engine and suspension work. I am just leaving a review now because I am about to take the car to my local mechanic to redo the improper repair performed by Shearer Volkswagon Service Department. In May of this past summer I decided to change the sparkplugs in the car. Upon removing the first sparkplug I discovered that there was engine oil in the spark plug well, and found oil in the other 3 spark plug wells too. I called Shearer Volkswagon and spoke with the Service Manager, and he informed me that the mileage on the car was outside of Shearer's repair warranty. He suggested checking the torque on all of the bolts in the valve cover, of which the spark plug wells are part of. Upon checking the bolts in the valve cover gasket I discovered that the bolts in the perimeter of the valve cover had been properly torqued, but that the bolts in the center of the valve cov er, between the spark plug wells were just finger tight, and had not been tightened with a wrench, let along to the proper torque. I called the Shearer Service Manager back and he suggested tightening the bolts in the center of the valve cover to see if that corrected the problem, and that if it didn't that Shearer would "make it right" even though the repair was beyond the warranty period, because the defect in the repair would be impossible to detect unless someone physically removed a spark plug. I did as suggested, cleaned the oil out of the spark plug wells, and installed the new spark plugs. Approximately one month later I removed a spark plug and checked for oil in the spark plug well. Unfortunately there was oil in the spark plug well once again, indicating that the valve cover gasket was damaged by the improper torquing and initial oil leaks. I called the Service Manager several times to alert him to the continuing oil leak caused by Shearer Volkswagon's negligence, and he never returned my call. So much for "making it right" In good faith I cannot recommend anyone taking their Volkswagon auto into Shearer Volkswagon Service for repair. I spent approximately $7,000 for thge repair work on my vehicle in September 2024, and now I am going to have to pay someone approximately $700 to redo Sherear Volkswagon's defective repair.

Thank you so much Shearer VW. It is always a pleasure. Keep up the amazing service and I’m always happy with taking my VW’s there. I also wanted to give a shout out to Allison. She is an amazing service writer. Thank you.

Scheduling was difficult. The website is not clear about waiting, availability of shuttle services, or leaving your car for the day. It does not provide an estimate for the time things will take. I live 45 minutes away from the dealership and I can't get friends to drive me to and from twice in a day so leaving my car is really difficult. When I called the service department for clarification and with concerns, I felt like the person I spoke with was annoyed that I didn't understand how scheduling worked (and it is totally unclear online) and completely unsympathetic to my dilemma of having to spend the day waiting for my car (which he made clear was not something we are supposed to use the waiting room for). When I got there, the service person I spoke with was very helpful and understanding. I decided to do an oil change and inspection and wait for it and reschedule the 40,000 mile service for another day when I might be able to get a teacher that I know to give me a ride, so I only waited three hours as opposed to all day, which was very helpful. Just keep in mind that it is difficult for people who don't live near a dealership to choose to bring our cars in for service. This will factor in to my decision next time to buy VW. The annoyance of your service person on the phone could have been completely avoided if your online scheduling program was more specific and informative to customers. I was somewhat panicked when I learned that I didn't have a wait slot and that I was supposed to leave my car with no ride or take the next available appointment a different day (I already had taken the day off) so I'm sure I wasn't at my best myself. However, I had no idea that a. the 40,000 mile service would take most of the day b. I was not supposed to wait c. if there was any option for a loaner car or a shuttle (I still don't know). If I had had any of this knowledge from the website I wouldn't have been upset when I called. I am just grateful that the person that I spoke with when I walked in was pleasant and helpful because that person is the reason I will continue to bring my car in for services that have to b done by the dealership. I wish I knew his name, but I didn't think to write it down. Next time I will schedule major maintenance intervals wit VW by phone so that I can have information when I schedule about how long it will take and if there are any transportation options available. From now on I'll take my car to my local mechanic for the majority of services because coming there is just too inconvenient.

I've only been a customer since 2022, but with 59,000 miles on my car, I've been in a few times. This experience was by far the best customer experience I have received outside of purchasing my car. Ken was funny, helpful and professional. By far exceeded they way I felt treated by the person I was assigned to prior.

Kind and professional staff. My appointment fell on a day the computer system was hinged a bit and despite the challenges, the staff were very calm and customer focused. Ryan and Austen worked together to complete my check out, and Ryan addressed my follow up questions with great detail. It wasn't a bad Monday after all :-)

The worst service experience I have ever had at a VW dealership. My car needed extensive engine work done and required my warranty company to come in-person to approve the cost. Not only was Allison and the entire service team at Shearer unaccommodating to this request, they simply did not call the warranty company and let my car sit on their lot without any work being done for 12 days. When I called for updates on status and timeline, they refused to put me on their schedule and gave me inconsistent information on the cost and timeline for the job. Allison, the service associate I worked with primarily, said the job would be 2 hours of work (roughly $300), but when I spoke to the Service Manager, Eric, he implied I'd have to pay for the entire time my car sat in the service bay, which would've been over $8,000 in total.Transparently, it really seemed like the service team did not want to do the work in the first place. I've never experienced such a lack of professionalism from a VW dealership in my life. If you can avoid getting work done here, I would.

Absolutely stellar experience at the Volkswagen service department! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with professionalism and warmth. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my vehicle was taken care of promptly and efficiently. The service technicians were incredibly knowledgeable and thorough in their work, leaving me with complete peace of mind knowing my car was in excellent hands. The facility itself was clean and inviting, making the wait for my service a pleasant one. Overall, I couldn't be more impressed with the level of service I received. Shearer VW has truly set the standard for excellence in automotive care, and I will undoubtedly be returning for all my future servicing needs. Five stars all the way!

If your car breaks down in their parking lot, have it towed somewhere else. My car was being fixed at the body shop but required mechanical work from the service department. The body work and mechanical work were not major, but the repairs took 6 weeks because of waiting for the service department to complete theirs. The last week my car was there was waiting on a tire to be mounted on a rim and balanced. I spoke to the service manager Eric Smith, he was apologetic but little help. I bought my car at this dealer, the service techs do quality work. I stopped bringing it to this dealer for service work due to the service writers and the customer service. My insurance recommended this body shop, the body shop was great but I didn’t realize I’d inadvertently be dealing with the service department as well. This was a clear reminder of why I don’t use this service department.

We purchased a 2026 VW Atlas and worked with Katie. It was a great experience and the process was very smooth. We will definitely deal with them again in the future as we have done in the past. Thank you for taking care of us!!!!

I purchased a car here, so I come for free annual inspections. My last inspection was clean; they have me no indications that I needed any work. 3 weeks later my brakes are grinding. Upon further inspection I needed: New brakes, pads, calipers, rotors, ball joints - critical components for safe driving. With the oil change, the charges came up to $3500!!! Right, they should have mentioned something during the inspection, but hey, I got you $200 off of this surprise expense! Complete BS. Service was great, but it helped that I didn't lose my composure like my wife did when we got the bill. This is completely unacceptable, and after purchasing 2 vehicles from them, rest assured I'm no longer a customer. Go elsewhere. Their lack of transparency was dangerous to me and my family.
