I had a terrible experience at Take 5 in Overland Park (9600 W 135th St). I went in for an oil change on October 12, 2025, and everything seemed fine at first. But shortly after, I started hearing a strange noise underneath my car. The noise got worse, and I discovered my skid cover was dragging on my BMW 528i. I immediately called the shop, and they told me to drive back. When I got there, an associate admitted they had missed installing a screw. They fixed it and gave me a 25% off coupon for my next oil change, along with two $7 coupons, both valid until December 2025. I left and drove home, but the very next day, October 13th, the skid cover was dragging again. I had to go back to the shop, and this time I was frustrated because I had to call off work to get it fixed again. The associate refunded me but didn’t fully compensate me for the damage caused. I spoke with the shop manager, Ben Powers, and told him I plan to take my car to the dealership because the skid cover – which covers part of my transmission and oil caps – needs to be replaced. If this cover comes off completely, it could cause thousands of dollars in damage. This experience has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I’ve attached photos of the dragging skid cover, the coupons, and a repair estimate. I wouldn’t recommend this location based on my experience.

This one was of the best experiences I have ever had at an oil change company. Upon arrival we were provided juice boxes and snacks for my kids. The attendants were very friendly and informative. I am thankful for the opportunity to learn that I needed an engine coolant flush (see pictures, left is what came out of my engine 🤢 & right is what got put back in). I felt like they genuinely cared about my vehicle and I know we are in good hands when being serviced here. Will definitely be back for my next oil change

I don’t know what to rate them exactly. They do a great job with the oil changes & they are fast but I am a repeat customer & every time it gets more and more expensive with them constantly telling you something else is wrong and that will be more $$. This time she told me the 2 air filters were 24.99 and I ended up getting charged 75.00 and I asked why and she knocked 20.00 off but still!! They aren’t honest and they constantly try to sell you more things that you probably do not need. I paid 200.00 for a synthetic oil change and 2 air filters smh. I will probably go somewhere else next time.

These employees did what Valvoline couldn't. I was told at Valvo,,,,, that my skid plate had 2 stripped bolts and that they couldn't get to the front differential. I called Take 5 and they said come on down, so I did. Guess what? They actually went from the top and got to the front diff fill port and sucked out the old and replaced it with new. This team went way above any expectations that I had. I hope that they get the recognition that they deserve, because they turned a Valvo,,,, lifer into a Take 5 lifer. They saved my trip to Colorado this week in my Tundra. Thank you so much team. Barringer Hansel.

I went in for a long overdue oil change and the staff at Take 5 pointed out other areas of engine maintenance that needed attention. All of these areas were addressed and corrected. The staff was extremely competent and very courteous. I am very pleased with my experience with Take 5 service and will certainly go there in the future. I highly recommend them.

Took my car in to get an oil change Tuesday Nov 18 at the 135th Overland Park location. The guys were professional and quick. By far most convenient and hassle free oil change I’ve experienced. I will definitely be taking my car in here for future visits. Also, thumbs up on the multiple and affordable oil options for my cars needs .

‼️ATTENTION ALL WOMEN‼️ I went to take 5 for my oil change since they were the only place open on Sundays. I won’t ever come back here. They see young woman come in for a simple oil change and think they just hit the jackpot. Every 5 minutes they would try to tell me something needs to be replaced and try to sell me something. Which is ironic since I JUST took my vehicle to a REAL shop for full service and inspection. “It would be an additional $250 but I can give you $5 off.” That’s their favorite line. This place will try to ring money out of you just because they think you don’t know better. Go to Express Oil Change instead. If they have any services they recommend you to get they just print them off with your receipt for you to decide and women get 5% off oil changes on Tuesdays just because. Don’t waste your time with this place and their slimey “sales” tactics.

take 5- I want to start off by saying your prices are very pricy, but I do love the coupons you have to offer. What I really wanted to leave a review about is one of your techs named Logan. the min I pulled up to take 5 he had very good customer service, the energy was positive, he was very informative. He made sure my daughter and I had water, juice, a snack while waiting. He described everything he was doing and I learned actually a lot by him. He made me feel so comfortable that I will become a regular because of him and the other employees like Author, everyone is so nice and cheerful, respectable. I hope to see Logan as a manager one day or Author. I’ll always tell people to come to this take 5 location because of the service and customer service! The team was awesome. My only issue was that the screws on my airbox were slightly rounded from using an air gun on the Philips head screws. Also oil residue around the oil fil cap.
