Very pleased with the work done recently. Complex issue handled well and all in accord with the estimate. Nice people too. Will certainly return for my BMW. Just completed annual inspection. Very pleased again. Nice people who do good work. Every effort is made to explain all repairs.

These guys went out of their way to help me out in a bind!! My VW Passat was overheating while we were on vacation in Charlottesville. They took me in immediately and ran diagnostics to determine damage/if it would be safe to drive home to Virginia Beach. Dylan was exceptionally personable and sympathetic to our situation. Once we determined the damage was too significant to safely drive home, Dylan allowed my car to stay on his lot for a week until we could arrange for it to be towed back to VB. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this auto repair - they were honest and authentic.

I've owned 2 - 5 Series BMW's and have always used this company for maintenance and repair. They've always been very honest and upfront with their charges. Mrs. Wanda gives great customer service and she and her husband Curtis are a pleasure to do business with. I like the fact that Curtis steps in if their is a difficult situation that needs special attention. I highly recommend this local, family owned business!

This place is amazing! I had to have work done after my car was messed up from an oil change somewhere else. They took great care of my car. They explained everything and kept me informed through the whole process. They worked with me and took my concerns seriously. I will never go anywhere else. Plus they are very kind and friendly!

I have a 2012 bmw 335is (e92, n54). I purchased this car brand new from BMW (ordered to spec) in 2012 and have gotten all maintenance completed at dealership including oil changes every 7500 miles and additional preventative maintenance over the factory recommendations. Needless to say I am very concerned about who works on my car and take very good care of it. Recently had to have a somewhat major repair completed. Took to BMW who provided me a quote. Their quote was fair as always relative to a Bmw dealership which I am fine with the prices they charge as their overhead will typically run higher. However I have been putting off finding a reputable independent service center since out of warranty. Due to cost, This time I decided to finally look for a reputable independent shop to service my BMW. I called several shops (researched and found through the website bimmershops) in the area including Blueridge Motor Works. My experience with Blue Ridge Motor Works was excellent. I emailed them requesting a quote after hours. They were very responsive and contacted me the next morning with a quote for what I needed. They committed to factory original equipment parts. The quote was extremely fair. I dropped my car off that afternoon and they had it ready for me as promised the next afternoon. The price quoted was the exact price I paid. No messing around with so called shop/supplies charges. They even included tax in the original quote. I had fully expected to pay what was quoted plus tax...nope I paid what was quoted inclusive of tax! Wanda is who I worked and communicated with and she was great and professional. Communication was terrific, speed was terrific, I have no doubt quality of service will be great judging from the initial experience and they will stand by their work, and price was extremely fair. I’m looking forward to continuing my relationship with this service center for all my service, repair, and maintenance needs!

I recently brought my BMW for an inspection and some minor repairs. The work was done thoroughly and with care. Since then I have returned 2 more times for repairs on run flat tires which are on my vehicle. Both times the work was completed without damage to the rims. The cost was fair and reasonable. I will continue to return in the future.

TL:DR Treated well and with courtesy. Job well done at a reasonable rate. A+ I have a 2011 VW Jetta SportWagen TDI. It's old, it's dirty. We've been through a lot together. I depend on it, and I love it very much. Being on what is euphemistically referred to as a 'fixed income', it doesn't get that love expressed as well as it should. I needed a 120K service when the whole Covid thing happened. I haven't driven more than 3-4,000 miles since, but it's over 2yrs late. I also have a few unique issues with the car that I didn't want to go to the dealer for. Sunroof leakage and some water damage... I spoke to Ryan who was understanding of my needs and arranged to drop it off. While there I observed numerous high-end cars in the lot, and more arriving. Oh lord, they were swell, with such sweet exhaust notes. I felt very under the bar for this place and that made me nervous. What had I gotten myself into? The next day they did the 120K maintenance on the car and said they were on the lookout for a replacement sunroof cassette. That evening it rained cats and dogs. When I showed up the next morning they had carefully taped some plastic over the sunroof and nothing had leaked. Their rate for the 120K service was quite reasonable and they agreed I didn't need to do the timing belt service at this time saving me lots of money. Ryan said he'd get back to me with information about the sunroof when they found something used. Throughout I was treated exactly the same as the guys with the expensive cars even though every penny counts these days. I drove home with a big smile on my face and confidence in the place I'll be bringing my well-loved TDI back to. Thanks, Ryan and team!

I took in my Audi A6 for State inspection to my local Charlottesville Audi dealer. They said it didn't pass inspection and said there was a leak of hydraulic fluid. (I had never seen any fluid leak). Repair would be $2000+. I brought it to Blueridge for a second opinion. They checked the car out, said it was fine, no charge. Took car back, passed inspection easily. My take on this is that Blueridge was efficient and honest.

I have a Mercedes-Benz, older model. Has given excellent performance over the years. A friend recommended Blueridge to me after I complained about the local dealership and not wanting to take my vehicle there. Curtis, Wanda and Porsche have all been extremely helpful in resolving any issues I have had with the car. More than that, I trust them. To me that says it all.

I have only good things to say about the care and service that I have received from Blue Ridge Motor Works. They have been servicing my BMW 530i for the past six years. They have been honest about servicing need and are competively priced. Great alternative to dealer servicing. I would highly recommend them.

I brought my Audi TT in for a timing chain replacement. The car was at the shop for 2 weeks and only one call to keep me updated. Every time I called I was told the parts would be in the next day. I understand the difficulty of getting the parts but keeping the customer informed would be nice. Once the work was finally completed I picked up my car only to find that the idle was very rough. There was also a clamp that was not put back in place and bungee cord left inside my engine compartment. It drove nice and smooth when it arrived and this was only brought in for maintenance. Being a German repair shop I assumed all German cars could be brought here but the excuse was that these cars need everything to be very precise. Back and forth three times, taking off time from work, and it's still has a rough idle. I am taking it to another shop to see what they can find. Also, I had to bring it back a fourth time because a cover was not put back in place! Seriously?

Over the past decades I have owned 5 BMWs. Two of them were purchased from Blueridge Motor Works and all have been serviced there. Curtis and Wanda have been great to work with over the years. Repairs and routine service are performed well by professional technicians and always to my satisfaction. Their parts and labor costs are competitive and usually better than dealer prices. Their cleaning and detailing services are the best value in town and they make my old BMWs look brand new. I have recommended their business to many and will continue to do so.

Blueridge Motor Works is THE place for MINI owners in Charlottesville. I tried other shops and this one was by the far best. Outstanding service and reasonably priced. The repair team never pushed to do more than was needed. Thank you!

One of my biggest fears in buying a European car was not having a reliable and honest shop to take my car to. I can honestly say after having the water pump replaced on my A4 that I have now found a great place to take my car. Dylan and Stewart were in communication with me the whole time with what was going on with the repair and ordering parts. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Great business again to deal with, I will be coming back again in the future. Update in 02/2022: had more work on my car done, replaced my front axle and had the same great experience as before. I will continue my business at Blueridge!

This was my 1st visit and I usually don't do reviews on the 1st trip anywhere but, these guys really made us feel comfortable leaving our car in their hands. Very knowledgeable on our mini clubman and found a few things wrong and sent pics showing us as well. Gave us an estimate before doing anything and got our parts ordered and installed in a very timely manner. Will definitely be using these guys again.

BR M W is great! I had previously tried another local German vehicle specialist as well as the local stealership for service, and while the former was sloppy and unprofessional, and the dealership outrageously expensive... Blueridge has taken excellent care of my S8, juuuuust right. I trust that they have my best interest in mind when it comes to quotes, advising replacement vs repair and making sure my Beast is treated like a Beauty. Dylan and the team know their ish.

The best in town! Dylan is unmatched in his professionalism, and James has a wonderful attitude and is a pleasure to ride with. They get you in and out quickly with no nonsense. I used to go to the dealer for everything but a friend recommended I try Blue Ridge Motor Works and I'm 100 times more satisfied with their service!

I've been looking for a new mechanic to service my BMW due to repeated poor service at the local Charlottesville BMW dealership. I prefer to support a locally owned business instead of some big corporate franchise anyway. I drive an older model hardtop convertible and it's important to me that my car is treated professionally and with care. Every step of the process was a textbook example of fantastic customer service. From my first phone call with Blue Ridge Motor Works, I had a good feeling. The phone was picked up and I was immediately speaking to a qualified service manager. I didn't have to be put on hold and I didn't have to go through three layers of a phone tree. I called on a Monday and asked for a Friday appointment that week and they were only too willing to accommodate. I decided to wait on my vehicle and the vehicle was ready precisely within the time window they estimated. The work was performed with care and I was charged fairly with no upsell, and no suggestion to replace unnecessary items. The mechanic left the car spotless, and even had my seat back in its preferred position. The location is exceptionally convenient and they do provide a shuttle service if one is required. The waiting room is very nice and there is coffee and tea available. Everyone I met was super friendly and genuinely German car people. This is the kind of vehicle service experience you hope for, but don't often find. I will be back for all my BMW servicing needs. Thank You Blueridge Motor Works!

I recently got a 2012 Mini Countryman S-All4 from a used car dealership and, unsurprisingly, after a month of driving it I've had some issues where smoke has come from the engine bay and filled my cab while driving. I had it towed through my extended warranty company roughly 2 weeks ago and overall I've been satisfied with the work, communication and transparency of this shop. My mistake was not having them take a look at my vehicle first before going to another local shop that I've taken other vehicles to. This other shop in their defense took care of the issue I had at the time, but they did not run a full diagnostic of the car. Blueridge, however, did run a full diagnostic of my vehicle after repairing what my initial issue was, test drove it around and found that I had a few other issues as well that caused my vehicle to go into limp-mode. They contacted me to let me know what's going on, what they'll do and how they'll do their best to work with my warranty for repairs. Genuinely, if you get a European vehicle, your best bet is to go with a shop that specializes in European vehicles. 10/10 will continue to take my car here.
